You need a quota to sell ODS that you import or produce.
You need a quota to sell ozone-depleting substances (ODS) that you import or produce.
If you are not already registered, you must first register for an ODS account if you want to work with:
- ODS
- equipment containing ODS
When you have an account, you must apply for a quota from the Environment Agency to sell ODS that you import or produce.
The window to apply for 2022 GB ODS quota closed on 31 August 2021.
You can only apply for a quota for ODS for:
- laboratory use
- analytical use
- critical uses in aircraft or military
- feedstock or to be used as a process agent
Laboratory and analytical use
You must check that anyone you are selling ODS to in Great Britain (England, Scotland and Wales) for laboratory or analytical use has a valid laboratory ODS (LabODS) number).
